Looks absolutely amazing, nice job!

You say modded, let me know what parts you modded, maybe I can make our cms easier for you so you don't have to mod it in the future :)

Well there's quite a few small changes here and there that allow me to take full control over the articles, menu design, and plugins.

BTW, it's Justin (AKA ISWeb2010. The other account if for my boss' company.)

Here's The edit's I did.

- Removed the content from the $sucker_fish_header variable from index.php and modified the menu function in the functions_frontend.php file.

- Added "authorname" to the user table. This allowed for my article writers to be able to keep their username, but use their full names by default for the articles (I also made the author name textbox unchangeable so writers couldn't steal eachother's article.)

- Recoded the article admin panel and news plugin to allow the writers to create thumbnails and ratings for each article. The thumbnail system took a while because I needed to create a thumbnailer script that would take a writer's uploaded image and be able to crop it into a special 170x100 thumbnail using jquery. I also used PHP to create a random numerical session string for the saved thumbnail's name.

-- I have also added for leads the ability to feature the article so they will dynamically show up on those featured slider's on the top of the site content.

- Implemented permissions into the articles admin panel so that writers can only see and edit the articles they have made. If they are writing a new article, it is locked in an offline state until a lead or admin (whom which have access to all articles) can approve it. If the writers even edit the approved article, it is placed offline for review again. This prevents the unauthorized publishing of offline content.

Now I know you have walked away from forum integration for good, but I have to honestly say that a noticeable amount of your clients did too for that exact reason.

The reason I've always liked Subdreamer is for the fact that it is a great CMS, but can be used as a base to make anything possible. However, I too am upset for the removal of the forum integration.

I wouldn't have had much of a problem with it if it was removed AFTER the in-house forums here were complete (and I say that term loosely since nothing is ever complete) with features that are now pretty much standard with any message board, but seem to be lacking here (completed attachments, subforums, forum permissions, frontend moderation, etc.)

This version, 3.1.0, might be the version I stay with permanently. I will most likely write my own patches since I understand how you've coded this entire system, but lack the time to make my own CMS since it would be only me working on it. I would then integrate punBB or IPB 3 and upgrade the forums on my own as well to maintain the stability of the two systems working together.

But I do urge you, from a logical standpoint, a very real solution that will bring back most, if not all of the customers that left.

Reintroduce forum integration, but in a different manner.

Scrap IPB and vBulletin. I too know how often they release hotfixes that create more trouble to upgrade Subdreamer to be compatible than it's worth. Instead, offer integration for PunBB and MAYBE phpBB.

From my experiece, phpBB doesn't offer any major updates that change the usersystem for a long time. They didn't migrate from md5 passwords in 2.0 until they finished 3.0.1, and that was a 5 year gap I believe.

PunBB however, certainly doesn't modify the usersystem structure unless they absolutely have to. So that would be a great candidate to start with. You could also of course offer the option of the native in-house forums. ocportal.com does that with their cms.

I'm just offering a better way of generating more customers rather than a price cut and an already easy to modify whitelabel system.

Will you please tell me what image rotator you used for the front page?

Hi Justin, those are lot of changes. Really nice job.

As far as forum integration, the decision to move away from it was final. I know this forum is simple right now, but give it a few months and it'll be really great.

Well I understand you're done with forum integration, but I am already recoding it back into my website's copy. My website has over 10000 unique visitors every month and the number keeps rising. So I'm going to have to have forum integration. You should email me (either justin@playeraffinity.com or jmoody@jcis.net). I've got a private business proposal to discuss that will provide you with more profit in exchange for a little help with my forum dilemma. Trust me, it's worth your time. Email me.

@ICDedPpl: The rotator is a heavily modified version of this slider. http://codecanyon.net/item/slider-pack-2-featured-sliders/89575
