Subdreamer is a multi-purpose CMS. It only intergrates with VB. It doesn't depend on it. You could skin your forum to look like your site.
Download the Light version, better than a demo ;)

I hate how most people think subdramer was created for vbulletin, but maybe since it now works with other forums like phpbb2 people will figure it out.
subduck should have left forum integration out :p

na i like the foum intergtration but i think people should know subdreamer helps make the forum look good, it does not run off of it.

Honestly I think there's a valid point, because if you are to integrate your forum either phpbb (my fav) or VB you still depend on the info provided there. There is no usergroup support as yet, the most you could hope for at the moment is to rewrite a subdreamer plugin to accept MOST of it's user info directly from the forum and not vice versa. Not knocking the product, but in an odd way this not-too wellspoken fellow is right.

1.) You can view live demos by going to peoples sites and viewing them!
2.) Its not style dependent because it requires to much programming and its a bloody waste of time to do so because then it would require more programming!
2.5) There is a beta skin available to style from VB
3.) You SHOULD NOT AND REPEAT SHOULD NOT build a forum specific script, I understand people like VB, I prefer vb but you loose money building a client specific script for a group of people that have many different needs
4.) Grouping will be available in the next version of Subdreamer
Personal notes from a programmer :)
Programming is not about programming for a specific client nore programming for a specific server. What you are IMPLYING should be done is a client specific feature, people who like features like that make the steps to program things for that. Such as the new VB Self Styling skin :). If you want a feature like that its highly reccomended you tell it in the forum for that! Right now no matter what ANYONE says and what ANYONE tries to do Subdreamer is one of the most robust CMS's I have EVER worked with (and do note I have worked with many), Not only with its easy skinning but other things as well.
Secondly how in the h*** do you mix up forum integration and forum skinning? SD Specifically says it INTEGRATES YOUR FORUM!
There are many skins for PHPBB and many more for VB if you really own a license of VB its not that hard to get a skin that will match your SD skin :)!
