Locked Forums

I noticed that locked forums (I.E. locked from regular members) when posted to, show up in the latest posts plugin. Now by deffinition this should be expected, but is there a way to prevent this? so the latest posts plugin only checks forums that are available to all users?

I am also having this problem. I use phpbb 2.08 and was alarmed to see that private administrator and moderator discussions (in private [hidden] sections)were available for all to see without actually being a member of the required usergroup. I mean whoa, how was that small detail missed ?

On another note, I sure am glad I had'nt said anything about anyone privately in a private section that they might have found insulting.

You can add which forums to exclude in the Latest Post's settings page.

Why are'nt usergroup permissions integrated into this feature. I would like my staff to be able to see important posts when they enter the site. I will follow up with my other post on forum integration. I believe integrating the latest posts faq, and the register links are the main priorities for all affected.
