Unable to upload images to gallery

After upgrading to 1.1.4 I still have problem uploading pictures to the gallery.
GD2 is installed on the box and its selected in the image gallery settings.
The image dir is chmod 777 also ... when I select a picture and hit submit it begins to upload and when its done nothing happens ... It dosent get added!

I'm kinda feed up with this prob and considering reinstalling :(


Any idea ?

EDIT : I have now reinstalled and did EXACTLY what the install instruction note said .. and STILL .. not working .. bah! :( :( :(

A few questions:

Try adding an image to an article (click on the Image button when you are creating an article) for the News Plugin. Does that work?

Have you tried the Download Manager? Can your files upload?

I had somthing similar and when I turned off zonealarm (firewall) it worked fine.

I just tried that , but no changes ...

I'm almost positive that the fault is on the server. You need the owner of the box to look into the php settings and make sure that file uploading is turned on and a temp directory exists for the files.
