Would adding a 466 MB file to the Download Manager cause severe problems? I just added one, and almost that instant, Apache has gone wild on my server, outputting gibberish and only loading half pages, and some not at all.

Did you manage to fix it? I've tried several times with each try leading to a successful popup and save window. I've also browsed around the site without seeing anything strange.

Yes, I did manage to fix that one particular issue. Now Apache has just kept failing every half hour or so, it was doing it all last night. It's obviously not a Subdreamer problem, but it has caused everyone who has tried downloading that file many issues (terminating their downloads, etc.). Really botched up all the hype over this big exclusive video, and completely wasted several hundred GB's of my bandwidth. :( I HATE computers!!!

Well, I guess I take that back. I've experimented with hosting the file in the download manager, and just serving it up as normal. Of course a "regular", direct transfer works fine, this is how I served the file all day yesterday and I thought my Apache problem had sorted itself out. So then I returned the file to SubDreamer, and Apache fails roughly every 45 minutes (thus terminating everyone's downloads in progress). Checking my Apache error log shows several thousand entries like this:

[Mon Jul 26 09:06:08 2004] [error] PHP Warning: mysql_query(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL-Link resource in /home/gtplanet/public_html/includes/db/mysql.php on line 74$ludes/db/mysql.php on line 74

Any ideas, subduck?

I think I might know what the problem is, I'm going to look more into this and try to post a solution very soon.
